The Ivy Buckhead is a sophisticated yet casual bar located in a converted mansion in the heart of Buckhead. We present an expansive menu of classic American fare inspired by our owners' Athens roots, so come dine with us and enjoy drinks while you cheer on your favorite teams on our 22 flat screens. We have plenty of secluded spots where you can enjoy food, company and sports in private, or join the crowd and watch as we transform the space into one of the hottest nightspots in Atlanta.
We offer one of the best bar environments in town, with an amply spaced two-tiered outdoor patio complete with its own gazebo bar, classically designed interiors with wood paneled walls, vintage wallpaper and our centerpiece: an absolutely massive, marble topped wraparound main bar with a cathedral style ceiling and original painting.
We also have a newly renovated upstairs event space that has linen furniture with custom draperies. Please contact us to book your next event in this space.
The Ivy Buckhead provides everything you could want from Atlanta's hottest nightlife addition, so come join us for dinner, drinks and more.
The Ivy Buckhead has its roots in Athens, GA, where all four owners lived at one point. Three of the owners attended the University of Georgia. Daniel Simmons and Gardner Dominick first met while owning separate bars in Athens, and eventually partnered to manage 2 bars: they opened General Beauregard’s in 2003 and then purchased Citybar, a fading Athens mainstay, in 2005. The two took these successes to expand on a dream years in the making: bringing the spirit of the Classic City to Atlanta. When they finally found the old Buckhead mansion, they knew they had the perfect location to make their idea come to fruition.
Daniel and Gardner teamed with brothers Benjie and Jamey Shirah to leverage their experiences with managing bars in Athens and operations expertise to make the Ivy Buckhead a mainstay of Atlanta culture. Together, Daniel, Gardner, Benjie and Jamey welcome you to The Ivy Buckhead and hope you will make it part of your Atlanta experience and social tradition.
